Prof. Aleksandra Gasztold, PhD

Prof. Aleksandra Gasztold, Ph.D., is the Editor-in-Chief of Applied Cybersecurity and Internet Governance (ACIG), published by the NASK National Research Institute. She is an associate professor at the University of Warsaw, specializing in terrorism and intelligence studies. She has been a visiting scholar at several prestigious institutions, including the University of Konstanz (2007, 2010, 2015, 2016), Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (2008), Indiana University Bloomington (2013), and the University of Vienna (2015). Additionally, Prof. Gasztold serves as the Secretary General of the Polish branch of Women in International Security (WIIS) and acts as a social consultant in updating the Polish National Action Plan for implementing the UN Women, Peace, and Security Agenda. In 2024, she was selected by the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Mission to Poland to join the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) under the theme of Women Leaders Promoting Peace and Security.
