Joanna Karczewska

IS Auditor, Cyber Security and Data Protection Expert

A graduate of the Faculty of Electronics at Warsaw University of Technology with more than 40 years of experience in information technology. She has traversed the entire professional path from operator to director. She worked in state institutions and Polish and foreign companies. Being a certified auditor - CISA - she specializes in IT audits in public finance sector entities. As an Expert Reviewer, she participated in the development of COBIT5 and COBIT 2019 methodologies, ITAF 4th Edition and the Digital Trust Ecosystem Framework of the international association ISACA. She participates in consultations of legislation on information security, cyber security and data protection. She actively participated in the meetings of the Committee on Digitization, Innovation and Modern Technologies of the Polish Parliament of the 8th and 9th terms. She has to her credit numerous publications in the professional press and speeches at IT conferences. She currently writes articles for the DOMENA quarterly published by the Polish Information Technology Association. She encourages women to work in cyber security. Expert of the Supreme Audit Office.
