CDR Jack Shis commissioned as a submarine officer in the US navy following his graduation from the US Naval Academy in May of 2005. He subsequently serviced on two submarines and completed four Western Pacific deployments. After finishing a successful tour as the Navigator and Operations officer aboard USS SAN FRANCISCO, Jack opted to become an Information Professional Officer in the US Navy. He subsequently served as the communications officer responsible for various computer systems and networks at US Naval Forces Korea and US Special Operations Command Europe before reporting to the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence in October of 2023. Jack is a 2012 graduate from Johns Hopkins University where he earned a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and is a certified CISSP. He has served in various other assignments for the US Navy in Hawaii, Italy, Germany, Bahrain, Japan and Korea.
